3D AR Lenses: New Ad Option for Snapchat

If you’re a social media fanatic, you’re in the know of how fun dancing hot dogs can be. The popular Snapchat Lense, The Dancing Hot Dog, has been viewed more that 2 billion times, affirming how much of an influence augmented reality, or AI, has on the social media community.

Last November, Snapchat introduced a new way to disperse AI to the masses via their 3D World Lenses. The Lenses will now be available as an ad option by bringing your characters and products to life inside the Snapchat camera.

As noted in the SnapChat blog, campaigns that include Lenses offer a 19.7 point lift in ad awareness, a 6.4 point lift in brand awareness, and a 3.4 point lift in action intent.

The new 3D World Lenses will be a higher end ad option on Snapchat. Advertisers will need contact Snap’s direct sales team to purchase a campaign, as they will not be available via the recently launched self-serve ad platform (as with all Lens campaigns).
