Knott’s Berry Farm is known for their boysenberry pie, family fun and thrill rides.
This summer visit Knott’s and celebrate the launch of their newest interactive attraction — Voyage to the Iron Reef™.
The Voyage to the Iron Reef is a 4-D attraction that takes you aboard submarine-inspired vehicles and leads you on a voyage through an enchanting underwater forest, tunnels and mysterious mechanical wreckage.
Guests who have what it takes to become brave deep sea navigators will climb aboard four-person ride vehicles and embark on the four-minute gaming adventure into the Iron Reef. The ride is equipped with an interactive freeze ray, guests will aim for ballooning puffer fish, an iron clad octopus and other exciting 3-D creatures as they attempt to blast the most sea life and save Knott’s from a watery doom.
Here’s an inside view of the attraction:
Read up on fun facts about the new 4-D ride:
- The network cable that powers the screens is long enough to wrap around the Hollywood sign 85 times
- Blast hidden medallions throughout the ride to score higher points
- Easter eggs of various iconic treasures from Knott’s past are hidden throughout the ride and interact with the blast of a freeze ray (Hint: Look for the famous Roaring 20s sign!)
- Look for the hidden Snoopy in the all new ride dock mural
Montreal-based Triotech, the multi-sensory attraction developer that animated the popular Wonder Mountain’s Guardian at Canada’s Wonderland, is the creator behind the groundbreaking gaming system and animation for Voyage to the Iron Reef.
We love how Knott’s integrates new technologies into traditional dark ride experiences and look forward to experiencing the underwater voyage for ourselves!
