Wonder Women Tech Will Gather Women Innovators, Hackers, Visionaries and A-List Speakers To Explore and Engage Powerful Discussions, Education Opportunities, and Programming Geared Towards Women and Diversity in STEAM.

Wonder Women Tech Foundation will hold its (2nd annual) Wonder Women Tech Conference this weekend,  Friday, July 15, 2016 – July 17, 2016 at The Long Beach Convention Center, in Long Beach, CA. With the theme #WEAREPIONEERS, Wonder Women Tech will explore women and diversity in tech, and the pioneers leading the way for innovation. Attendees from around the world will engage in conference programming including a Free Career Fair & Exhibition, workshops for Seniors and the Deaf and Disabled community, a Junior Innovation Camp, and a Learning Center, where hundreds of underrepresented children and adults will learn how to code, build games and much more.

Over 300 speakers from 20+ countries have applied to speak at this year’s conference which will host innovative talks and panels and feature over 200 speakers on three stages, including women in computing, C-Suite women, business leaders, techies, inventors, investors, best-selling authors and award winning scientists and pioneers. Keynote speakers and special guests include President of UN Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, Almas Jiwani, Crunchbase Director of Content, Gené Teare, diversity thought leader, Everette Taylor and many more, including our #LatinaGeeks co founder, Lala Castro!  Outside of the speaker lineup, there will be a networking lounge, a “Meet and Greet the Speaker” cabana lounge where speakers can engage the attendees, interactive demos and maker spaces, and a free career fair and expo that will be offered to the general public who register in advance.

“This will be a great event which will highlight many local and international innovators, techies, and creatives who have revolutionized our economic and cultural life,” said Mayor of Long Beach, Robert Garcia. “It’s especially exciting that this event is led by women, will include interactive educational experiences, and will inspire girls and other underrepresented groups to join the ranks of pioneers in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.”
