Join this interactive workshop where self-employed, small business owners and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn the essentials of bookkeeping, accounting for business and payroll using QuickBooks from experts at Intuit.

In this workshop, you will have the option to choose from 3 breakout rooms:

Room #1: Beginner room “Ask Me Anything” – Intended for those who have never touched QuickBooks and would like to learn the fundamentals.

Room #2: Intermediate “Industry Uses” – Intended for those who work in Service, Real Estate, Products (e-commerce) industries.

Room #3: Advanced “Established User” – Intended for those who have a good grasp of QuickBooks and would like to dig deeper.

*You will be prompted to select your choice breakout room once checking out with a ‘General Admission’ ticket.

Each room will have a QuickBooks expert leading the discussion and walking you through use case examples and best practices. As an attendee to the workshop, you will also be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a QuickBooks online one-year subscription!

Meet our instructors:

Gene Austin

QuickBooks Live Manager & CEO – Tax Strategies Group

Gene is a manager at Intuit’s QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping division where he supervises a team of certified bookkeepers that provide bookkeeping services for several hundred small to medium businesses throughout the United States.

Prior to joining Intuit in 2019, Gene spent over three decades in a variety role on Wall Street and Main Street, including as a corporate lender to Fortune 1000 companies, as a financial regulator with both the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and as a licensed financial and investment advisor assisting individuals and small business owners in underserved communities.

Gene also currently operates a private practice, Tax Strategies Group that is passionate about transforming the fortunes of minority and women-owned small businesses and non-profits through the use of its bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and business advisory services.

Pam Bingham

QuickBooks Live Manager, EA, MAFM

Pam Bingham manages a team on Intuits Expert Network; QBLive Bookkeepers. The team focuses on SMBs; small to mid-sized businesses, managing their financial data; providing expert support in preparation of tax time. Owner of PB Tax and Accounting Services, holds a Master of Accounting and Financial Management (MAFM). She is an Enrolled Agent, licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as well as an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with extensive experience helping clients transform their vision to reality. As a fellow small business owner, Pam fully understands the challenges a small business owner faces day in and day out and can help you navigate to high-level business success. Pam is married with two adult sons, and a 11 year old grandson Manny. She spends her time helping her clients save money, but cherishes the time with her family most.

Natasha Riley

QuickBooks Live Manager, EA

Natasha Riley has over 25 years of working experience in finance, licensed in almost every angle of the financial services industry. She is currently an Enrolled Agent, but during her career Natasha has been a securities/trade desk operator, brokerage & insurance financial advisor, business banker, exam instructor, notary, and before selling – a co-owner of a family business in insurance and real estate for more than a decade. More recently her career has focused on providing tax resolution and bookkeeping services for small business owners as well as being a sought-after workshop creator and host for her local SBA and SCORE chapters in New Orleans. She loves training and coaching in the micro-business market and QB Live gives her an excellent opportunity to be of service even more! Whenever possible, she spends time writing and submitting screenplays in festivals, or co-writing sketch comedies and stage-stories for troupes she’s a member of in New Orleans and California.
