Instagram is becoming a stalker’s paradise. The photo and video sharing app just added a new feature that will let all your followers know when you were last active. Ewwwww!

Just like Facebook Messenger, when you open up Instagram Direct, the messaging section of the app, you’ll be able to see when friends were last “active”. Basically, your stalkers will now know when you last used the app and if you actually seen their message. That means they’ll know for sure if you’re ignoring them.

Luckily, there’s a way to stop from stalkers knowing your every move.

Go Instagram’s app settings in your profile, and scroll all the way down and toggle off the “Show Activity Status.” See below for example:

Keep in mind, just like Linkedin, if you turn this feature off, it also means you won’t be able to stalk your crush either. Can’t have it both ways ladies.
