Meet Periscope! Twitter’s New Video Streaming App

If you are a big fan of live streaming like us, you are going to love this app that #LatinaGeeks will share with you today. It’s called periscope and it’s going to revolutionize the way you stream videos and share with the world!

After buying the live-streaming video service Periscope back in January of this year, Twitter officially launched the Periscope app, which allows users to instantly live-stream right from an iPhone.

It’s very easy to use, sync your twitter account with the app and automatically, you will be able to stream or watch streams even up to 24 hours after the stream has ended.

We know, this app might sound similar to Meerkat, the video streaming app that became popular during SXSW, but Periscope’s feature to let you watch the streams after they have ended, is definitely a killer feature over Meerkat.

Periscope also includes a couple of unique social aspects to live-streaming. Our favorite one is the ability for viewers to tap on the stream to send love to the broadcaster. The love shows up as tiny floating hearts on the stream’s lower-right corner for everyone watching the broadcast to see.

The more hearts a video gets, the higher the stream climbs on the app’s “Most Loved” list, which can make your video famous in no time!

To all the #LatinaGeeks interested in Periscope, you can download the app for free from the App Store.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
