Join us for an empowering evening that highlights the significant progress #LatinaGeeks has made in Los Angeles County. We will emphasize the importance of cultural diversity in the workforce and come together in community and sisterhood to celebrate Latinas’ accomplishments in technology.

Expect an exciting lineup of activities, including networking, food, drinks, and a fun paint-and-sip session with a local artist, Michelle Muñoz.

We’ll have all the supplies on hand for you to explore your creative side. Just bring yourself (and an amiga!)., and support our local Latino business by purchasing food from any one of the vendors.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Michelle is a freelance illustrator/designer based in Southern California. She draws inspiration from her personal life and heritage. She enjoys creating art that reflects her ethnic background but also brings happiness to others. Through this, she has worked with a number of clients, brands, and organizations to create work that reflects and empowers people of color.
Clients include:
Target, Erin Condren, The Democratic National Committee, Amazon Music, Disney Plus, Amazon Music Lat!n, Always Brand, Sony Music, This is About Humanity,  Poderistas, Chispa app, California Calls, etc.

 

About the Venue:
BLVD MRKT is located in beautiful Downtown Montebello and is committed to serving up good food, good drinks, and good vibes. Free community events, live music, family and always fur baby friendly.

 

Evelyn Santos is co-founder/owner of Gentefy, inc, a business that focuses on investing in people, places and programs that answer the demand of Latino communities, that unleash creativity and that build strong local communities. From Gentefy, BLVD MRKT & Alchemy Craft were developed and launched in August 2021. BLVD MRKT is a micro food hall that houses 8 food and beverage businesses. It is located in Downtown Montebello and is committed to revitalizing the Downtown corridor by bringing community together through artisan food, drinks and events.

 

Featured Vendor:
Sylvia Garcia is co-owner and CEO of Los Taquero Mucho. She is the last of 6 children to parents who immigrated from Mexico and Guatemala. In 2017 she graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in General Management. In 2019 before joining the Los Taquero Mucho catering company, she worked in the banking and insurance industry. In 2021, the first brick and mortar of Los Taquero Mucho was launched inside of BLVD MRKT. In 2022, after going through BLVD MRKT’s incubator program, Silvia and her husband Miguel became the sole owners of Los Taquero Mucho.
