Amigas, creating an app just got easier with Microsoft’s PowerApps platform. Join #LatinaGeeks and Microsoft as we partner up for a PowerApps and artificial intelligence (AI) hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of app creation and then have the opportunity to build one!

PowerApps is a technology powered by Microsoft to create mobile apps. Mobile apps are the future of business—the tools provided at this workshop can be translated into any job field.

In this workshop, we’ll take it a step further by leveraging artificial intelligence. By developing these apps in congruence with artificial intelligence, it will take your app to the next level. This cutting edge technology is all cloud-based and powered by one of the top technology companies in the world. You’ll have the opportunity to build your app on the open source Apache Cordova platform. You will also learn innovative concepts from Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence via Azure Cognitive Services.

Any business owner, company (large or small) or entrepreneur can benefit from utilizing PowerApps because of its innovative capabilities. Knowing how to build mobile apps can impact your professional skills, company and/or product in so many ways. An example of the benefit of AI is that you’ll be able to collect customer sentiment based on everyday phrases input into the app. The app can then determine customer sentiment which will deliver results for your business.

Sal Rosales is a Premier Field Engineer at Microsoft prepared to teach the foundation of this innovative tool to build mobile apps and leverage AI for your apps.

This is workshop is for beginners. There is no experience required to attend the workshop.

Knowledge of Powerpoint and Excel is encouraged.
