Liza Trujillo Kirkland is an equity-centered leader passionate about building more equitable and inclusive systems and spaces for all. Her 15+ year career spans non-profit, public sector, healthcare, and tech in local, national, and global settings.
Liza attended Hispanic Serving Institutions for her undergraduate and graduate degrees – California State University, Fresno, where she double majored in Political Science and Chicano/a Studies, and the University of Arizona, where she received an MBA with a specialization in Organizational Leadership.
Liza most recently served as the Global Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at Talend, fostering a global sense of community and belonging – creating safe, brave spaces where all employees could show up as their authentic selves and do the best work of their careers.
A proud first-gen Latina, Liza is inspired by a deep-seated passion for helping others and serving her community and the common good. Liza lives in her native Oceanside, CA, with her husband, Spencer, and their two Doodles, Yogi and Phoebe. You can catch Liza at the beach or her local dance studio in her free time.
