#LatinaGeeks is excited to partner with Qualcomm for a panel featuring 3 technology professionals who are truly leading the way! We will hear from women at different stages of their career: early, mid-career, & seasoned. Through the panel we will discuss how each of them found their way into the tech industry/their roles at Qualcomm, their challenges, highlights, and lessons learned along the way, and what they feel we can do as a community to support each other now and in the future.
We invite you to join us for an engaging conversation with these inspiring women! This is a great opportunity to gain insight and tips about working in the tech industry.

Nery Lara, Software Engineer
Lara is a software engineer at Qualcomm Government Technologies. She was born to immigrant parents from El Salvador in San Francisco, CA. Growing up she faced many challenges but never let my circumstances dictate her actions and worked hard to get to study Computer Engineering at UC Santa Barbara. Upon graduation in 2019, she moved to San Diego, CA. During her free time she enjoys learning how to make phone applications, reading, hiking, running, and weightlifting.
Natasha Figueroa, Information Technology (IT) Security Engineer
Natasha Figueroa is an IT Security Engineer with Qualcomm. She grew up with the company since she was 7 years old and now has a passion for the work she does. She is currently in her 2nd year of attending Champlain College to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Forensics and Digital Investigations. If she is not working or doing school work, she enjoys time with her family visiting new (or favorite) food places, cooking new found recipes, playing with her 5 year old or finding something fun to do around San Diego, CA.
