Nery Lara, Software Engineer

Lara is a software engineer at Qualcomm Government Technologies. She was born to immigrant parents from El Salvador in San Francisco, CA. Growing up she faced many challenges but never let my circumstances dictate her actions and worked hard to get to study Computer Engineering at UC Santa Barbara. Upon graduation in 2019, she moved to San Diego, CA. During her free time she enjoys learning how to make phone applications, reading, hiking, running, and weightlifting.

Natasha Figueroa, Information Technology (IT) Security Engineer

Natasha Figueroa is an IT Security Engineer with Qualcomm. She grew up with the company since she was 7 years old and now has a passion for the work she does. She always ensures that she learns something new every day whether it’s through her teammates, YouTube videos or watching training videos that Qualcomm provides their employees. She is currently in her 2nd year of attending Champlain College to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Forensics and Digital Investigations. If she is not working or doing school work, she enjoys time with her family visiting new (or favorite) food places, cooking new found recipes, playing with her 5 year old or finding something fun to do around San Diego, CA.

Maritza Borunda, Engineering Development Manager

Maritza Borunda is a Manager for Engineering Development at Qualcomm, where she is an internal consultant on various technical initiatives. She currently leads the educational / enrichment activities in the areas of AI and Hardware Security for a global workforce of 20,000+.
Prior to working at Qualcomm, Maritza worked for several Fortune 500 companies as a software engineer. Her work has taken her around the world, in assignments ranging from working NATO contracts on behalf of the U.S. Army to writing operating systems and integrating complex software into existing systems.
