#LatinaGeeks 7-week cohort program is designed for Latinas ready to develop skills, build community, and become a catalyst for change in the tech industry. The program will provide selected participants with an immersive experience where attendees understand what they bring to the tech industry and learn key fundamental skills as they navigate their careers.
Our no-cost virtual training will help you discover your strengths, help you in your job search, and stand out to prospective employers. Upon completion, each participant will receive a certificate of achievement which you can add to your LinkedIn profile.

Participants must be able to attend all six learning modules and the final project.
What You’ll Learn
This resume-building workshop will give you the confidence to prepare a resume that impresses and engages the reviewer and boosts your chance of getting through the interview door ahead of other applicants. Participants will receive a professional-level step-by-step process for creating an effective resume, including how to tailor your resume to specific roles.
Throughout this session, participants will learn the essential elements of creating a standout LinkedIn profile that captures attention, builds credibility, and attracts career opportunities. From crafting compelling headlines and summaries to strategically showcasing skills, experiences, and achievements, attendees will gain practical insights and expert guidance to elevate their profiles to the next level.
An interview is your opportunity to make a strong first impression on the job search. This workshop will help you identify best practices for the interviewing process, strategies to make you stand out in an interview, common interview mistakes and how to avoid them and communicate your experience effectively. You will also obtain tools to prepare for both technical and non-technical interviews and best practices for following up after the interview.
This workshop will provide you with the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to negotiate your salary and benefits. You will learn how to conduct objective market research to benchmark a target salary and benefits and learn how to articulate your personal value. By the end of the workshop, you will have improved your negotiation skills to drive up your earnings potential and developed a clear plan for navigating the negotiation process from start to finish.
Speaking confidently and effectively can dramatically change your impact as a leader. During this course, you will learn to better understand your communication style, articulate your vision to inspire top performance from your team, and cultivate professional relationships with stakeholders built on respectful, meaningful interactions. You will also learn how inclusive leadership and effective communication are interconnected.
By delving into key leadership principles, you will learn how to navigate complex challenges, inspire peak performance from your teams, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Through practical exercises, participants will emerge with confidence and strategies to lead effectively and have the foundational skills to excel in their roles.
In our final session, participants will deliver a 5-minute presentation to the entire cohort that outlines their learnings and receive their certification of achievement.
Participants will create a presentation that integrates the skills and insights gained from one or more modules of the cohort program. This project aims to empower participants to take actionable steps toward achieving their career goals in the tech industry.
