#LatinaGeeks partnered with Autodesk again on Sept 27th for the workshop: “Intro to Product Design with Tinkercad”.
Our workshop featured Maria Lamas from Autodesk as moderator and our excellent and knowledgeable instructor Guillermo Melantoni, who introduced us to the exciting world of Tinkercad.
Here are some of the takeaways from our workshop:
👩🏽💻 No experience is required to get started with Tinkercad! You don’t need to be an engineer or a math expert to start using Tinkercad. The program is super user-friendly and engages your creativity in many different ways. Check out their tutorial resources here.
🤩 Tinkercad is free! You don’t need any software to get started, only a web browser. You can even go to your local library to print out any of your 3D creations!
👧🏽 Tinkercad is kid-friendly! In fact, Guillermo encouraged everyone to share Tinkercard with any kids in their families as a great introduction to STEAM! The % of Latino kids enrolled in STEAM-like classes is lower than others, so let’s bring that % up!
Special thanks to our moderator and instructor for the excellent partnership and support from Autodesk!
